Any of my regular readers will know I’ve got a little love affair with my local, The Little Yellow Door. I went along to one of their very first Friday night dinner parties and have been popping in again and again, making friends with the brilliant owners and managers of the venue and not being able to resist one of their killer cocktails any night of the week.
Before it was very much a weekend sort of place (Thurs, Fri and Sat nights), but now there are even more nights of the week to enjoy TLYD – as they have just launched a Wednesday night chilled supper club Kitchen Supper & Cocktails; the perfect pick-me-up for Hump Day. It’s no-fuss, informal dining for those looking for fun and something a little different without breaking the bank.
Food wise, you can expect the usual fabulous food brought to you by The Wandering Chef in the form of a two-course meal. For £20 you can indulge in the likes of Italian themed dishes Say Cheese (Burrata, Aubergine, Rye and Oregano), Ducky Love (Egg Tagliatelle with Spiced Duck Ragu) and Luigi’s special weekly pasta will also be up for grabs. The Italian aperitif and icebreaker, Aperol, will be mixing up some cocktails at the housemates’ bar – with one cheeky cocktail included in the cost.
After food, the place will turn as ever back to the bar – so you can also just come for drinks if you want too – they’re still the only restaurant in London to take bookings via Whatsapp, so drop them a text on 0780 126 7854 if you want to swing by.
