Owned by chef Marika Contaldo Seguso, it opens its doors to guests as a luxury boutique hotel along with welcoming wannabe cooks into the kitchen for cooking masterclasses.
We booked into one of Marika’s day courses to brush up on our pasta making skills and were not disappointed. The villa itself is incredibly impressive and we spent a truly delightful five hours in the chef’s company – along with our classmate from the US!
The class is very hands-on, Marika will demonstrate a recipe and then you get stuck in working on your own sauces, making your own pasta and filling your own handmade ravioli. If you’re looking to have a wonderful morning or afternoon doing something a little different while in Venice, I highly recommend booking on to one of the courses.
