This time last year, I was deep into planning our wedding and my incredible bridesmaids were deep into planning my London hen do. I have finally gotten round to blogging some of the elements of the wedding and wanted to start with sharing this with you all. As a lover of all things flowers, this was the perfect activity for me and my hens; flower crown making!
If you’re also planning your nuptials or looking for inspiration for a friend’s hen do, then hopefully this can provide you with some food for thought.
My bridesmaid Laura contacted the lovely Lisa from Miss Victoria’s Floral Emporium who will arrive at your hen location (we used an incredible townhouse we’d rented for the weekend in South London as our base). Lisa brings with her a stunning array of flowers and all of the bits and bobs that you need for you and your hens to make your very own flower crowns. Make sure you have a look at this blog and find out where you can find the best flowers. Surprisingly more difficult than it looks, it is still brilliant fun – make sure you have the prosecco flowing and allow a good couple of hours in the day for the activity. It’s brilliant for photo opportunities too and they can even last for the evening if you wanted to wear out to your dinner venue…
I highly recommend the workshop if you / the bride loves flowers or is particularly crafty! It could also be a wonderful idea for a baby shower or a birthday party too.
