There’s an abundance of things in Notting Hill – cute brunch spots, hundreds of instagram-worthy pastel coloured townhouses, great clothes boutiques and homeware shops…but there is a surprising lack of hotels for such a tourist hotspot.
Now deemed one of the ‘hottest new hotels in London’, I’ve got a pretty new neighbour in the form of boutique hotel The Laslett. Perfectly located just seconds from Notting Hill Gate station, it’s the ultimate spot to explore the area and the hub of West London – as well as being a great staycation for any Londoner’s who want a little treat away from home for the night. It’s a fantastic addition to the area and seamlessly integrates itself with the art, culture and community spirit that makes Notting Hill such a special part of London.
A home away from home, The Laslett has created a genuinely calming and inviting atmosphere as soon as you step in the front entrance. Perfect for a stop off for a coffee and a flick through the incredible selection of coffee table books in the ‘library’ or equally a great choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner, I’d recommend stopping by if you’re in the area just to look at the beautiful interior.
With gorgeous little details peppered throughout the hotel, such as these tropical lamp fittings ^^, each room and all the bathrooms are kitted out with one of my favourite beauty brands – Neal’s Yard Remedies.
I’ll leave the bedrooms a surprise for you, but you can snap up a room for around £200 a night. Each one of the 51 guest rooms, along with the rest of the hotel, has been designed inspired by local culture and British style.
The website lets us know that The Laslett is an evolving and unfinished story – a collection of concepts, ambitions and creative collaborations that’s a place for locals to love and guests to discover. Let me know if you stay and what you think!
