Pinch punch first of the month everyone! With a crazy month of work up ahead for me, I know there’s going to sadly be limited time to be eating out and living it up much. February, instead, is going to be a month of trying to squeeze in exercise and healthy eating between planning numerous events and press junkets, and in turn, getting my beauty regime sorted for the year ahead.
I’ve been experimenting with finding the right products for my skin recently ahead of my wedding later in the year, along with trying out new recommended ‘wonder’ products on the market while still stocking up on old favourites.
Here’s a little snapshot of my February beauty faves:
Starting with my hunt for the perfect moisturiser, after trawling review after review for ones for oily skin I plumped for the purse-friendly Neutrogena’s Visibly Clear oil-free daily moisturiser; smelling of grapefruit and light enough to pop on morning and night it’s brilliant so far. I also picked up this night cream from Sephora while in LA and am addicted – I lather it on every other night and feels totally luxurious on my skin and sinks in completely overnight.
I can’t live without Batiste – still one of the best emergency products to have in your handbag if you’re travelling, or more frequently if you’re suddenly post-work and find yourself on your way to a cocktail bar in Soho with your hair needing a boost!
My two perfumes at the moment are Jo Malone’s Peony and Blush Suede for day and a little bit of Chanel for a weekend night out with Coco Mademoiselle.
Favourite candles are lit; Hotel Costes and Chateau Marmont’s signature scents.
Now, they say summer bodies are made in winter, so along with working out, I’m also experimenting with skin firming creams and have plumped for both Jergen’s Skin Firming body lotion and Nip + Fab’s Cellulite Fix – we’ll see in Spring if there are any good results from this!
My nail polish of choice this month is this gorgeous blush shade of Nude Rose from Maybelline’s Forever Strong nail varnish range.
I’m also stocking up on my Vitamin E supplements, a vital boost of antioxidants for this cold weather – along with slathering my hair twice a week with Moroccan Oil to protect my locks from all the wind.
Make-up wise, I’m officially a Charlotte Tilbury fanatic – her Filmstar Bronze and Glow highlighter and eye shadow palette in Sophisticate are just perfect for creating a look of a bit of sun in winter; I’m saving up for another spree in a few weeks! I’m also making sure I slather on the Cherry Carmax to protect my lips in the freezing weather and use a little bit of Benefit’s Ultra Plush lipgloss in ‘Fauxmance’ colour.
This lovely Rose vase was from H&M but sadly isn’t in store now – similar HERE though!
What are your must-have beauty products?!
