This is the start of a new series of posts I’ll be putting up on Little Miss’ Style Icons. There are so many beautifully dressed women out there that this section pays homage to a particular lady’s style to influence and inspire.
First up in the Little Miss on Style series is the one, the only, Olivia Palermo. Known for her elegant yet experimental, Upper East side New York chic, Palermo is a poster girl for the ‘well put together’ classic beauty. She’s also a regular to the Notting Hill neighbourhood when she is in London too, pottering along Westbourne Grove with her ridiculously attractive boyfriend.
Reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn’s exquisite prettiness, she can pull off just about anything – clashing colours and prints are all a part of her look. Things that shouldn’t work, DO on Palermo.
I’ve been following her wardrobe since she first graced the small screen in The City (secret guilty pleasure – if it’s one of yours too, you can get the boxset here.) Her flair for fashion is noted across the world, with Palermo landing campaigns in the last year for Tibi and Mango, along with curating her own style blog – covering all things clothes, lifestyle, accessories and travel. She is solely responsible for my personal obsession with statement necklaces – a bold and bolshy piece of neck jewellery can set off the simplest of looks and Olivia even created her own range of statement bib necklaces for Roberta Freymann in 2012.
There are an abundance of looks to choose from as Olivia almost always gets it right in my opinion, but here are a few of Little Miss’ favourite picks.
