Everyone loves doughnuts. Right?!
Having been on a constant quest to find the best doughnut London has to offer, there was obviously excitement in the air when the wonderful Electric Cinema on Portobello Road (newly refurbished following a fire in 2012) decided to include a doughnut stall as part of the new-and-improved cinema.
Trying these for the first time this week, I can gleefully confirm they live up to the hype. Ranging from flavours such as Raspberry Glaze to Chocolate Glaze to the mother of all toppings – PISTACHIO GLAZE.
Can’t recommend highly enough – when you are next in Notting Hill, whether settling down to a movie sesh in the cinema or just strolling the goodies on the market stalls, make sure Electric Donuts is on your list of ‘to-do’s’. Beware though – popularity comes with a price and these babies can sell out quick on a Saturday. All the more reason to get up that bit earlier and enjoy with a hot tea or chai latte whilst pouring over the weekend papers. Perfection.
