Wedding shoe shopping in Paris

Wedding shoe shopping in Paris

With my wedding creeping ever closer, my little sis decided it was time for a little break away and whisked me off to Paris for a girly weekend to go wedding shoe shopping – as you do!

Liv had booked the Hotel Bel Ami in our favourite stomping ground of Saint-Germain-des-Pres and we felt instantly at home in this lovely boutique hotel with it’s abundance of books and friendly concierge staff.

A hop, skip and a jump across the road, we escaped the rain with some Vin Chaud in Brasserie Lipp before deciding on our plan of attack of which shoe shops to hit first. There wasn’t really any argument that we should make Galeries Lafayette our first stop; if you haven’t been, I highly recommend a visit just to be wowed by the beauty of the building – just look at that ceiling….trust Paris to have the most exquisite architecture in which to buy your new Chanel perfume. Floors and floors of incredible products are waiting for you, so go with a good few hours to wander around and soak up the gorgeousness.

After a nap and a strangely delicious florescent aperitif at the Bel Ami bar, we headed to Le Beef Club for an evening of perfect steaks, even better cocktails (I was too busy enjoying these clearly as I forgot to take pictures of the incredible food – get the mac and cheese side, you won’t regret it) and wonderful conversation. A pretty perfect Parisian evening.

Blurry photos are always the sign of a good night right? More tomorrow on our little weekend jaunt…

This sounds absolutely perfect, and although you say “you can take the girl out of London” but to buy them in Paris, makes them even more special, I think.

I have yet to visit Paris, but when I do I would love it to be equally as special
