Chiltern Firehouse

This week it’s my little sis’ birthday and she’s turning the big 25. To celebrate in style and give her a bit of a pre-birthday treat, it called for one thing and one thing only – lunch and cocktails at London’s new hotspot Chiltern Firehouse.

We had one of the best seats in the house – up at the chefs table where you can enjoy your meal whilst watching the chefs pre-prepare it! There’s something special about watching them all at work; it makes the plates into a real art form. The brunch menu is varied, including traditional American-style eggs (done in a variety of ways), mixed in with more lunch-y options such as Hamburgers and Crab Linguine.

After scoffing our food (I plumped for the delicious hamburger and Liv went for the eggs and mushroom hash) and guzzling two of the delicious Champagne and Strawberry cocktails, we were ready to snuggle up outside with a blanket and a tea and cappuccino to catch up on more gossip. It was also time for presents!

All in all, it was the perfect Sunday. All that’s left to say about the firehouse is that you should go. Do it. Now 🙂 See below for details of how to book and address – it’s pretty popular so not the easiest place to get a reservation but persevere and you’ll get a night for dinner or a spot at a table for Sunday brunch (which is also more affordable!).
