Last night whilst strolling through Soho on the way home from work, I came across a recent addition to Argyll Street just before you get to Oxford circus tube…the beautiful shop & Other Stories.
It’s described on their website as ‘offering women a wide range of shoes, accessories, bags, beauty and ready-to-wear to create their own personal style, or story.’ And what a successful concept for a shop it is.
The store is elegantly laid out with pieces dotted around from whether it be ready-to-wear a-line spring dresses, to beach hats and swimwear (reminiscent of the American Apparel fit), to evening dresses to sunglasses. There is also jewellery on display, alongside handbags ranging from totes to clutches with snapshots of polaroids to bring the items on display together. The best way to explain the store is to show you, so documented below are some of the key pieces that took my eye in the store – alongside a showcase of the beauty counter (which was a personal fav – a huge farmhouse sink decorated with polaroids and a vast range of beauty products).
Next time you are shopping in or around Oxford Street, don’t forget to make your own story by popping into this delightful shop – a true change from the crowds of fashionistas that charge on the Topshop sale racks and surrounding stores on the high street.
