Popcorn lovers unite…

There is no better way to start a weekend that consists of a dull, grey Saturday than to get yourself down to Portobello Road in search of some scrummy food.

A new establishment has found its way onto my favourite little road off Portobello, Bleinham Crescent. Home to the now infamous ‘Notting Hill Bookshop’ thanks to Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts, next to this is the small and unassuming Pop – Europe’s first ever popcorn boutique!

Stocking popcorn and popcorn only, it’s a delightful Notting Hill stop off for those with a penchant for the corn (aka moi).

Flavours are fabulously varied, ranging from your standard English Toffee and Sea Salt to Chilli and Cheese to my personal favourite, Bloody Mary flavour. After being offered to try the flavours on offer (yes, they let you taste before you buy!) I personally thought the Bloody Mary was the best along with the special of the day, Raspberry and Dark Chocolate. Corn porn indeed.

The little store also stocks American-import drinks, including the delicious Joe Tea range (Ginseng and Green Tea is the dream) and I was also informed that in the summer, they will start making smoothies to accompany your corn.

They give you your pop in delightful little take away bags too. A new favourite.
