Happy Birthday Diet Coke!

This week, Little Miss attended the birthday of Diet Coke, which saw fans and the fabulous fashion crowd gather at London’s Sketch.

Shimmying alongside the likes of the Geldof sisters, models, TV presenters and dolled-up cast members of Made in Chelsea, the party was in full swing. But it’s easy to forget amongst all of the pomp, that this occasion was a great way to celebrate the brand’s association with fashion over its 30 year history.

Event host, the delightfully petite Hilary Alexander (who chased Little Miss round the party enquiring about a Topshop dress – she still loves her high street brands clearly…) introduced the party.

Taking guests clearly through the journey of the brand’s fashion credentials, she touched on it’s campaigns such as ‘Just for the Elle of it’, Whitney Houston’s ad campaign and even Heidi Klum’s Oscar dress from the Diet Coke Heart Truth campaign – all of which were exhibited around the event in a specially curated themed exhibition.

Quirky designer and stylist of Sex and the City Patricia Field was there and showcased her limited edition range of ‘Diet Coke City Collection’ bottles. These follow in the line of previous campaigns such as Moschino, Karl Largerfeld, Jean Paul Gaultier and Diane Von Furstenberg, firmly cementing the brand as the ultimate fashionista accessory.

Due to it’s association with style, fashion and fun, it’s easy to see why Diet Coke remains the #1 diet soft drink on the market.
